Public Service Editor
Section Public Service, which belongs to the Project Department, is recruiting the Public Service Editor. The Section is responsible for editorial-related tasks in various product/project teams, including but not limited to editorial services related to:
1. Encyclopedia journal;
2. Preprints.org;
3. Conference submissions,
4. Proceedings Series submissions,
5. Other expanded editorial-related tasks from project/product teams.
Responsibilities:
Organize the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts/submissions and coordinate editorial decisions
Handle email communications between the parties involved in the manuscripts/submissions peer-review and/or publication process
Ensure that scholarly manuscripts/submissions are accurately edited and published according to tight deadlines with a high degree of consistency
Collaborate with the various products/projects, journals, and the conference teams
Complete other assigned editorial-related tasks
Requirements:
Master’s degree within the past three years
Major in any natural science, technology, medicine, engineering, and mathematics-related disciplines
Strong English skills in written and spoken language
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Detail-oriented and customer service-oriented
Good learning ability and capable of multitasking
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
